Our client is seeking an innovative and bright content marketer who can create and maintain community engagement strategies.
This is a new role, and is well suited to a results-driven content marketer looking to take ownership at a strategic level.
The role will sit between the content and marketing teams, ensuring efficient communication between the two. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying content gaps and using their skills to create content and market it. The content marketer will also support the promotion of content pieces to drive engagement and funnel leads to the sales team.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Strategic planning and identification of content marketing initiatives to achieve business KPIs.
- Budget setting.
- Produce engaging marketing copy to drive engagement on content pieces. This will involve creating written, video and multimedia content to deliver online community growth, and support upcoming events and publications.
- Create a marketing communications calendar that cross-promotes content pieces and ensures regular engagement with core profiles and personas.
- Ownership of the social media calendar and advocacy initiatives – including replying to comments.
- Optimise content for SEO – natural and paid-for search.
- Analyse web traffic with a view to reducing bounce rates, increasing time on page and pageviews per session.
- Work with the Head of Content, Head of Marketing and PR team to maximise content distribution online and among third party media outlets.
- Work with the Events team to ensure content pieces are utilised effectively to build engagement from target profiles and personas.
- Re-purposing of larger content pieces for marketing strategies (including basic video and audio editing).
Requirements
- Proven work experience either in communications, digital marketing, journalism or preferably as a content marketer
- Proficient in English with strong communications and writing skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office, WordPress and CRM software (ideally Hubspot).
- Understanding of web publishing requirements.
- Expertise in social media platforms – primarily LinkedIn & Twitter.
- Project management skills and ability to use one own’s initiative.
