ZMedia is looking for a talented Conference Producer to join a well established event and conferences business focused primarily on the Customer Experience, Process Excellence, Cyber Security and Human Resources portfolios. The product mix includes online events, reports, webinars, content syndication, advertising and tech demos, so all digital.
About The Position
The online conference producer is the engine of the events business. They identify the topics that are critical for the community, secure the speakers and brands everyone wants to hear from and work with the internal teams to deliver events that are both valuable and profitable.
Specifically, the role entails:
- Conducting research with community members to identify trends, challenges and opportunities.
- Invite and confirm high-level speakers that the industry wants to hear from, building an experienced, diverse, speaker panel providing thought leadership for the target market.
- Building your own network of speakers via business (online) networking.
- Writing agenda and website copy that speaks to the challenges facing the industry.
- Project managing the marketing and sales teams to increase profitability.
- Working with sponsors to ensure their presentations add value to our delegates.
- Develop session formats appropriate to demands of the delegate audience.
- Shows an aptitude for website management and event marketing; supports event promotion activities across various channels.
- Leads digital event execution, staying calm, confident and in-control under pressure; strong event delivery is evidenced through client feedback and rebooks.
- Has full visibility of a year-round schedule of events, managing their lead-times and engaging early with all products to ensure the highest levels of engagement with the community.
Attributes of the Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in conference production.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver successful launch events and grow existing portfolios.
- Commercial acumen – identify topics and themes that drive profit growth.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-assured and confident speaking with senior level executives.
- Intelligent, creative and can think outside the box.
