We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Operations Manager to join the team and drive the growth of their operations capability within this start-up division.

You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operational aspects of events, ranging from small launch conferences to larger multi-track events. This position requires a self-motivated individual with a passion for technology, a keen eye for detail, and a proven ability to optimise processes and drive efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Operations Strategy: Develop and implement the operational strategy for launching and scaling new conference topics within the technology space.
  • Project Management: Oversee all operational aspects of event planning, including budgeting, timelines, resource allocation, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Venue Management: Identify and secure appropriate venues for conferences, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with venue partners.
  • Vendor Management: Select and manage external vendors, including audiovisual, catering, logistics, and other service providers.
  • Budget Management: Develop and monitor event budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure the smooth execution of events.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all events adhere to company high-quality standards, paying attention to details such as branding, content delivery, and customer experience.
  • Post-event Analysis: Conduct comprehensive post-event analysis, gather feedback, and implement improvements for future conferences.
  •
Requirements:
  • Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience in operations management, preferably in the conference or events industry.
  • Detail-Oriented: Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising accuracy.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven track record in managing complex projects and delivering results within established timelines and budgets.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify challenges and develop creative solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic start-up environment, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Fun and Passionate: A positive attitude and enthusiasm for the work, bringing energy and creativity to the team.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
