- Description
- Job Title - Conference Producer
Salary - Up to £40k plus 15% bonus
Location - London Victoria, 2-3 days per week
ZMedia is on the hunt for a Conference Producer to join a leading B2B media and events business focusing on Susutainability and the clean energy industry.
The Role
As a conference producer in the team you will be responsible for the intellectual content (topics and speakers) and growth of around 4-5 international events which really make a difference to decarbonising the energy supply by providing opportunities for companies building new projects to meet governments, customers and financiers around the world.
You will also produce your own promotional content: articles, webinars, podcasts, interviews and round tables to support your events.
They currently run conferences in the UK, APAC, US and EU. They need someone highly motivated to hit the ground running.
The role is ambitious and highly rewarding with huge opportunities for growth and you would make a valuable addition to the team if you can demonstrate:
- Fantastic phone skills: you are able to conduct primary research and find fresh content on the phone, you are able to reach new people at a high level across large companies or international governments. You can be tenacious and get through to people despite objections and busy diaries.
- Excellent project management skills: you get the job done, you are responsible, take ownership of your own success and can drive a project forward with your own initiative and use relationships within the team to motivate your colleagues.
- A Passion for limiting climate change/renewable energy: you will succeed at this job with passion for renewable energy, environmental policy or the transition to a low carbon future.
- Someone people want to do business with: You are a natural connector – you enjoy finding and speaking to new people, networking, collecting ideas and understanding how things work through qualitative research, face-to-face and telephone conversations and meetings.
- The ability to influence decisions: You can present new ideas, negotiate and influence people and you can relate your research and product to their business by understanding their needs.
- You are intelligent and analytical: You are a fast learner, able to connect the dots and use information gathered to draw future connections, make predictions and understand technical issues.
- A high level of integrity and a desire to deliver a best-in-class customer experience: You are someone who wants to help people to do business better. You can gather customer requirements and are creative enough to turn these into a product that genuinely makes a difference to people’s day-to-day work. We aim for delight, not satisfaction!
- You have great time management skills: You are able to manage your own time and prioritise work to hit deadlines. You can work with an end goal in mind and break it down into component steps and use this to deliver success.
- Leadership potential: You can demonstrate that you can work with and motivate a team of colleagues or partners. You can lend support and help where needed and work with people to deliver a project and help them learn or grow. You can collaborate and support people you work with.
Work in an industry that is both growing and making a difference to the world. You would be most successful with a job in the renewables sector if it’s important that your work makes a difference to the environment. We are passionate and proud that our work leads to lower carbon emissions and better access to energy in developing countries.
We pay a competitive salary commensurate with experience, commission and the opportunity to shine within a growing and dynamic media business. You’ll be able to stand out in a small team, develop your skills and talents and build the role around your strengths.
