Job Title - Bid Manager
Salary - up to £65,000
Location - central London x2 days per week
Type - Permanent, full time
ZMedia is hiring for a Bid Manager to join one of the largest news broadcast and media businesses in the world. The role is based in central London, ideally x2 days per week, but if you live further afield, they are open to a bit more flexibility here.They are looking for an experienced candidate to join them as Bid Manager, playing a key role in the New Business Team and working closely across the organisation to identify, grow, and manage relationships that directly and indirectly involve the public sector, as well as taking ownership of the knowledge database.
The ideal candidate will have a mix of established skill sets such as proposal management (coordinating, writing and securing complex tenders) as well as exceptional organization, communication and attention to detail.
Salary up to £65,000, permanent, full time role.
About the Role:
- Help identify and develop bids issued by governmental organisations and major institutions.
- Contribute to the identification of suitable consortium partners, following up on business and management arrangements with partners, helping to draft and keep track of all teaming and consortium agreements
- Lead the production of high quality and fully compliant standard selection questionnaires and expressions of interest and technical and commercial proposals, ensuring they are submitted on time
- Take end-to-end ownership of proposal development and related support processes, including:
- Developing and maintaining proposal management tools
- Set up the knowledge management database to simplify and expediate RFP process
- Writing and editing proposal/marketing narrative
- Coordinate a contract mobilisation meeting with relevant staff across the business – including sales, sales support, commercial policy, product and marketing on successful bids
- Coordinate the appropriate follow-up actions, and manage the pipeline of pending opportunities, including use of Sales Force
- This is a global role. Whilst primary focus is on Europe, it will also support Sales efforts across the US and Asia.
About You:
- Detail-orientated, with impeccable organisational and project management skills
- Able to manage multiple bids at a given time, and manage your time effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in bidding and proposal management processes or similar role (Communications, Contracts management, Business)
- Ability to facilitate collaboration
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge and experience using a wide range of research tools and databases.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, high-growth environment.
Desirable but not required:
- Proficiency in German, French, or Spanish
- Background in Media/Publishing and/or strong interest in journalism and why it matters
