ZMedia is hiring for a Performance Director (Programmatic) to join a rapidly growing, data analytics & ad-tech scale-up based in London with customers across Europe, Australia and North America. Role
This market-leading insights platform does not just bring bespoke digital audiences to life - it is also deeply integrated with the programmatic ecosystem. This capability is at the core of their programmatic managed service offering, giving clients the opportunity to leverage their data, technology and in-house expertise to deliver best-in-class performance for programmatic campaigns.
The Performance Director role is a new position within the Senior Leadership team.
You will be taking ownership of all things programmatic and will be instrumental in leading the productisation, strategy, process and scalability of the offering and team. You will be ambitious and keen to step up into a top-level role and sink your teeth into a variety of complex challenges in a rapidly growing area of a business with great potential.
This multifaceted role will include:
- Directly overseeing and supporting the Programmatic AdOps team, to drive excellence in execution, service and performance of the campaigns we run
- Direct collaboration with the Tech and Data teams to feed into the development and growth of the programmatic capabilities of our technology
- Providing high-level input to the commercial team on managed service product framing and strategy across key markets and client verticals
- Develop systems and processes to ensure the programmatic managed service offering is of consistently high quality and scalable. The frameworks put in place by the Performance Director should allow the Programmatic AdOps team to grow by a factor of 10 without degrading the managed service offering
Key Responsibilities
- Joining the core management team to work within the organisation to refine and further develop our technical and service based offering. This involves developing a deep understanding of our technology and capabilities, enabling important work on productisation to ensure programmatic managed service is well positioned and cohesively integrated into the broader offering
- Taking ownership of the Programmatic team & product, and working with the senior team to develop robust, efficient and scalable workflows, processes and systems to deliver our campaigns. From initial setup through to activation, optimisation and reporting, you will help set out a solid foundation for the team to support continued growth
- Advising on pitches & brief responses for our biggest opportunities, ensuring high standards of performance & client service are met, with a keen focus on meeting key business objectives for revenue and margin to ensure profitability
Requirements
- Expert experience in programmatic buying within a media agency or programmatic service, with deep understanding of programmatic ecosystem and knowledge across Google’s DV360, The Trade Desk or Xandr
- Expert knowledge on delivery of campaign KPIs, Audits & support across RFPs
- Proven track record of working under pressure and to critical deadlines with outstanding results
- Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to engage with clients & stakeholders, and oversee the management and scaling of a team
- The ability to execute at pace, remaining attuned to opportunities we can seize to take our product and our business to the next level
- Technically minded and innovative, and will make full use of the opportunity for direct crossover with our CTO and Tech Director to inform the development and evolution of our next-generation targeting technology
- Systems thinker with a strong track record of implementing processes and workflows that enable teams to scale and succeed
