Job Title: Conference Producer
Salary: Up to £50,000 plus up to £20,000 bonus
Location: Chelmsford Essex
Work Pattern: 5 days a week in the office
ZMedia is hiring for one of the leading providers of intelligence, insight and debate serving the global defence community. The portfolio of market leading events are curated and chaired by leading figures from the naval and army community, who offer a unique insight into how global armed forces are addressing the challenges and evolving threats in the ever-changing international arena.
The production team is a small group of hugely passionate individuals, who are truly ingrained with
the sectors they serve. Their role is to identify and research the most pertinent and relevant topics
that are on the minds of their target audience in order to craft and publish conference agendas of
unrivalled quality and integrity. They are then tasked with identifying and securing the participation of rockstar speakers from the armed forces who are the leading experts in their field.
They are a fast-growing team with huge ambitions, and an exciting path ahead of them. They’re always on the hunt for amazing people to join them on this journey, to help expand knowledge, develop expertise and grow the business through engaging and securing the participation of senior military personnel as speakers for their events.
Who we are looking for:
We’re looking for someone who has a creative mind and is able to use their initiative and powers of persuasion to leverage the information collected through qualitative research to craft captivating agenda’s filled with senior and relevant speakers.

What does the role involve?
● Achieve targets for agenda sign-off dates, speaker confirmations and project milestones that
contribute to meeting the businesses financial goals.
● Convert a high volume of research calls into clear themes and topic areas.
● Use the themes and topics areas that you develop to build an extensive and accurate contact
list of senior military personnel.
● Engage with those contacts to understand their needs and challenges and secure high level
speakers from an array of disciplines and countries
● Build innovative conference programmes to engage, educate and retain the audience
● Write and deliver briefs to educate and engage the sponsorship and delegate sales teams.
● Attend external events to establish your standing as a recognised industry figurehead and
event brand ambassador.
