Job Title - Senior Sales Manager
Salary - up to £50k plus 5% on everything booked
Location - Central London x3 days per week

The key responsibility is to generate revenues across a multimedia portfolio by building relationships with prospective clients and maximizing relationships with existing clients. You will be given ownership of the sales for market leading products and will be responsible for achieving and exceeding personal sales targets and KPIs. The role is a mix of account managing long standing clients and selling to new, prospective clients. With a very strong team ethic, we are passionate about what we do, offer great customer service and proud of the work we deliver.
 
The company
Established over 30 years ago, this is an independent B2B media company working in global capital markets. 
We bring these communities together through our 20+ events annually, and give them the tools to perform their roles better through our websites, reports, data-led research and news.
This primary function for this role is to generate revenue from the service providers to our core audience, through sponsorship of our products.
 
Responsibilities
This role will include the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Sell sponsorship for events
  • Sell high-value research reports, banner ads, whitepaper lead generation, content creation and advertisements for our websites
  • Manage existing relationships with clients and upsell where appropriate
  •  Achieve and strive to exceed sales targets for all of the above
  • Create and maintain excellent relationships with clients through a consultative sales approach
  • Understand client requirements and negotiate in order to close the sale
  • Manage the full sales process: maintain accurate records of call outcomes, an up-to-date pipeline, process orders, and update CRM with latest contact information
  • Follow up enquiries, up-sell to existing clients
  • Contribute positively with ideas to help improve existing processes and products

 
 Requirement
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • A proven B2B sales background in events, media, publishing, research or similar
  • Ideally 3-5 years of sales experience in the relevant areas
  • A consultative approach, and track record of creating bespoke campaigns for clients
  • Driven to meet and exceed sales targets and make high volume, intelligent outreach
  • Comfortable being on the phone, highly self-motivated and organized
  • Excellent face-to-face selling skills, and over video
  • Ability to comprehend content and match its features and benefits with prospective clients
  • Great inter-personal skills and a strong sense of personal accountability
  • Honesty, openness and a can-do attitude
  • Ability to work on own initiative, to take ownership of tasks and to problem-solve
  • Ability to negotiate and be empathic with foreign business cultures
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM databases
