Job Title - Senior Event Manager
Salary - up to £40,000 plus bonus
Location - central London x2-3 days per week in the office, the rest remote
ZMedia is looking for a Senior Event Manager to join a leading media and events business based in central London. The role will primarily focus on the operational delivery of face to face events, like breakfast briefings, lunches, conferences, awards ceremonies and roadshows.
You will play a crucial role in the events team thinking strategically about the events in your portfolio and suggesting improvements to enhance the delivery of events’ goals. As Senior Event Manager, you will work closely with other event managers and coordinators to ensure the professional and efficient organisation of all events logistics. In the role, you will be running projects across the teams while delivering high quality events on time and to budget.
Key tasks and responsibilities
·Support the delivery of events by planning resources accordingly.
·Inspire, mentor and coach your team to deliver on targets
·Build supplier relationships – these include venues but also digital event platforms
·Development of excellent client relationships with speakers, sponsors, delegates, and suppliers
·Collaborate with the operations team and other departments (content production, sales, design, marketing, delegate acquisition, customer success etc.) on strategy and the successful execution of events
·Events budget management
About you:
·Three plus years of experience in managing operations for in-person sponsored events and at least one year’ experience managing digital events
·Excellent time management skills and attention to details
·At least one year line management experience
·An ability to develop strong supplier relationships and to negotiate
·A calm demeanour and the capacity to overcome stressful situations
·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
·Flexibility around events starting and finishing times
·Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Adobe
