Senior Conference Producer - B2B Conferences - up to £55k - London or Norwich - Hybrid
A fast-scaling global B2B media and events company seeks a commercially driven senior producer to own end-to-end speaker acquisition and agenda development for flagship, multi-industry events (e.g., sustainability, AI, supply chain). The role shapes audience growth, brand positioning, and revenue through high-calibre speakers and differentiated content.
Purpose
- Lead the speaker and agenda strategy across global events.
- Deliver senior, high-impact speakers and commercially aligned programmes.
Core Objectives
- Secure senior-quality speakers aligned to event positioning.
- Develop clear, relevant, and differentiated agendas.
- Build external relationships (notably PR agencies) to fuel speaker pipeline.
- Tie speaker/content strategy directly to sponsorship and revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Speaker Strategy: Own pipeline; proactively identify, approach, and secure C-suite and senior leaders; maintain stakeholder relationships.
- PR/External Relations: Build and manage PR agency network as a primary sourcing channel; position events as platforms for their clients; improve calibre, diversity, and seniority of speakers.
- Agenda & Content: Define themes, session topics, formats, and required speaker profiles; align with industry trends, audience needs, and commercial priorities; collaborate with leadership, editorial, and sales.
- Commercial Alignment: Partner with sales to map speakers and sessions to sponsor objectives; create content that strengthens event positioning and drives revenue.
- Speaker Delivery: Manage communications, scheduling, preparation, and on-time delivery to ensure a consistent, high-quality speaker experience.
- Internal Collaboration: Act as central owner for speakers and agendas across events, sales, marketing, and operations.
Success Measures
- Seniority and quality of speakers.
- Advance confirmations (target: 50% secured 8 months out).
- Agenda strength and relevance.
- Alignment with sponsorship opportunities.
- Contribution to revenue and repeat speaker engagement.
