Divisional Marketing Director - B2B Conferences and Events - up to £80k plus bonus - Hybrid working, London
An international B2B events and content organisation providing business executives with access to conferences, large-scale and virtual events, and digital content. The organisation operates in a fast-paced, commercial and collaborative environment.
Role overview
Lead divisional marketing performance and a team of marketers and editorial specialists, developing innovative international campaigns that support portfolio growth and profitability.
Key responsibilities
Set and communicate the division’s marketing vision, goals and performance.
Lead marketing plans for a portfolio of approximately six events per year.
Run regular marketing tests and share learning and results.
Use marketing systems and data to improve efficiency, conversion and profitability.
Track key marketing metrics and report performance, insights and recommendations.
Work closely with sales, production, editorial, customer service and senior leadership.
Monitor competitors and emerging marketing approaches.
Contribute to wider marketing strategy and best-practice development.
Review marketing copy, websites and campaign materials.
Partner with editorial to create compelling, industry-led content.
Coach, develop and motivate the marketing team through regular development planning.
Skills and experience
6+ years’ marketing experience, ideally in B2B events, publishing, exhibitions or membership organisations.
2+ years’ people-management experience, with a strong coaching and leadership track record.
Digital marketing experience, including SEO/SEM and social media.
Strong commercial awareness, including budget and ROI management.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Creative, analytical and detail-oriented problem solver.
Self-directed, resilient and comfortable working to tight deadlines.
Bachelor-level education or equivalent, ideally in marketing or communications.
