Salary: Up to £45,000
ZMedia is seeking a highly motivated and creative Conference Producer to manage a world-leading series of events within the FinTech industry. Through active research and their creative abilities, the Conference Producer will lead the development and delivery of webinars, conferences, blogs, articles and much more.
We deliver a world-leading series of events, an active research and policy agenda to bring about meaningful change and innovation, and a powerful digital media portfolio. Through their comprehensive programme of activities for members and with guidance from an independent Advisory Board of leading CEOs, they produce a programme of monthly digital and face-to-face events including an annual conference, awards dinners, webinars, CEO round tables, podcasts and training activities.
About the role
The Conference Producer leads on development and delivery of content across the range of our products and channels, including launch conferences, Hot Topic Webinars, and supporting the Head of Content on an annual conference and awards ceremony.
The successful candidate will focus on the topic areas aligned with six working groups
The role requires in-market research, as well as keeping track of industry developments and trends through companies, technologies, regulations and products/services.
The Conference Producer is then required to use this understanding to provide the highest quality of event programmes and speakers, as well as high quality awards for their products and members.
The successful candidate will have the ability to leverage our community and the profile of the association to unlock new opportunities, growing their own share of voice and that of our members and partners.
The Conference Producer will work with the Head of Content to ensure timely and relevant content for each event/product.
Key responsibilities
Research and Programme Development
• Keeping primary research at the core of the process – designing high quality agendas, based on in-depth research with the market – both buy and sell-side, providing cutting-edge thought leadership, global insights and trends, best practice examples and innovative thinking
• Develop the event content strategy, themes and proposition to deliver maximum engagement and success; using content as an enabler for audience acquisition, dwell time and to enhance the profile of the association and our partners
• Create profitable, sustainable market-led events designed to connect sponsors and exhibitors with qualified buyers and purchase influencers
• Identify opportunities and develop relationships to drive future event growth and success
Speaker Acquisition and Management
• Acquire senior, high profile end-user speakers, both international and local to the event region, that meet the information needs of the target audience
• Work closely with speakers provided by our sponsors to ensure the delivery of cutting-edge thought-leading content that supports the programme and meets the audience’s information needs
Copywriting
• Take primary responsibility for the content and style of the conference agenda and all event-related marketing materials
• Write concise, persuasive copy which SELLS the BENEFITS of sponsoring or attending our events
• Write articles and blog posts that support the events and the topics covered
Deadline Management
• Consistently produce events to key deadlines, budget and a market-leading standard
• Meet all KPIs within required timeframe
Topic generation and validation
• Generate and validate future event strategy and commercial topic ideas, and carry out due diligence for the future success of the business
• Successfully execute product diversification through the launch of new events and add-on events
Team Support
• Support other members of the production team where required
• Work closely and productively with our sponsorship sales, delegate sales, marketing and operations teams in order to maximise event revenue and profitability
Onsite Event Management
• Manage the conference onsite, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality event and positive experience for all stakeholders
Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes
• Circa 2+ years B2B commercial event and conference production experience
• Interest in the FinTech & Payments space
• Exceptional copywriting, attention to detail and proof-reading skills
• Outstanding time management & organisational skills
• Excellent communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills
• Approachable, positive and able to lead and support speakers and colleagues before, during and after the events
• Able to work as part of a team but to take responsibility for the production of events and related content
