They give access to practical insights, embrace external trends and help organizations embrace these trends and ride the tail wind they deliver for innovation.The positionThis portfolio team is based across the UK, Canada and the US, and runs a wide range of events across two communities, predominately within the Energy space. Their product mix includes in-person conferences, online events, reports, webinars and content syndication.They are looking for a Senior/Conference Producer to join the team to help continue the growth in their event portfolio. They will identify the topics that are critical for communities, secure the speakers and brands everyone wants to hear from and work with the internal teams to deliver events that are both valuable and profitable.This is a UK-based remote working opportunity; occasional attendance at the London office may be required.Role Responsibilities• Researching and sourcing senior-level industry professionals to be speakers at the events• Developing a clear understanding of the vendor market landscape and sector as a whole• Carrying out in-depth telephone research with senior industry professionals to identify cutting edge conference topics• Building great relationships with industry professionals as well as with cross functional teams in the business internally• Creating engaging conference programmes that encompass the event’s value proposition whilst driving profit for the business• Direction of the Sponsorship, Delegates Sales and Marketing strategies• Directly managing the financials of the event, and using the P&L to direct decisions• Creating cutting-edge content such as eBooks, reports and podcasts• Developing the events’ social media presence in partnership with the marketing team• Motivating and leading the cross-functional event team towards delivering andexceeding event targets• Travelling internationally to the events you produceRole Requirements:The ideal candidate for this role is strong communicator, resourceful,enthusiastic, a quick learner with experience developing and producingevents across a range of B2B events.▪ Strong conference production experience or commercial project-basedexperience (in a role such as sales, recruitment, research, project planningetc.) – Ideally 2+ Years’ Experience▪ Entrepreneurial qualities with a creative flair▪ The ability to identify business opportunities in a market▪ Interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships withpeople at all levels inside and outside the business▪ Strong research and analytical skills▪ Strong writing ability▪ Strong project management skills▪ Leadership skills - the ability to set out and deliver a vision for your events▪ Sound negotiation skills▪ A positive, solutions-focused attitude▪ High level of self-motivation and a strong work ethic▪ Must be motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of ateam▪ General office technology skills required (PC, Microsoft Outlook, CRM,LinkedIn)
